Jana Krell
Jana moved to Colorado in 2008 from her home state of Texas and is proud to now call Colorado home. She graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and started her consulting career in the Dallas focused on single-family land development until moving to Colorado in 2008 and focusing in commercial land development. In 2010, Jana shifted to the public sector – accepting a position with the City of Aurora Public Works Department. Since then, Jana has worked on various types of projects throughout Aurora including the design and construction of numerous traffic signals, water lines, storm and sanitary sewers, roadways, parks and trails, and city owned facilities – currently including a pedestrian bridge over a major highway.
Jana is passionate about being involved in her community and believes that anyone can make a difference if they are willing to be part of the solution. When the opportunity presented itself to run for the board of directors for CPNMD, Jana knew of the issues the district had been having and is optimistic that with her understanding of infrastructure and experience working for local government, that she can help Castle Pines make the informed decisions for its residents as it relates to the Metro District’s remaining infrastructure.
Jana moved to Castle Pines with her husband Gabe in 2015, and loves the small-town feel, the abundant open spaces, trails, and views that this community has to offer. Obtaining a safe, clean, renewable water source, is her goal to make this place even better for the future.
Jana and Gabe place an emphasis on raising their 4 school aged children in the outdoors. As a family they enjoy camping, skiing, their kid’s baseball, lounging by the pool, fishing, paddle boarding, and road trips among many other activities.
