​CPNMD seeks qualified applicants for open board position

The Castle Pines North Metropolitan District (CPNMD) has a vacant position on the Board of Directors and is seeking qualified individuals to apply.

To qualify as a Director of a special district, a person must be registered to vote in Colorado and be either:

  • a resident of the special district; or
  • a person who, or whose spouse or civil union partner, owns taxable real or personal property situated within the boundaries of the special district, whether such person resides within the special district or not.

A timeline and process for appointment follows.

  • Monday, May 15: prospective applicants are encouraged to attend the regular meeting of the Board of Directors at 6 p.m. at CPNMD’s offices to observe the workings of the policymaking body.
  • Monday, June 5: last day for interested applicants to submit a letter of interest and resume to District Manager Jim Nikkel via email at jim@cpnmd.org; materials should be received no later than 4:30 p.m.
  • Monday, June 19: applicants are encouraged to attend the regular Board meeting and address the Board of Directors and state their interest and qualifications for serving on the Board. The Board of Directors plan to appoint an applicant to fill the vacancy. The appointee does not need to be present at the meeting to be appointed, or to take his/her oath of office.
